The holiday season has arrived in full force at the Pendray Inn and Tea House, and it’s no mystery why. Victoria is one of Canada’s premier destinations for holiday-goers in December. Visitors stream into the city to escape harsher climates and experience the year-round beauty our charming little city offers. 
At the Pendray Inn and Tea House, located by Victoria’s Inner Harbour, we go all-out to offer a true Victorian Christmas experience.  Built in the late 19th-century as the family home of William and Amelia Pendray and their four sons, the Inn brings you back in time with historic splendour and authentic Victorian charm. Decorated with vintage decorations for the Christmas season, transport yourself in a festive and elegant old-fashioned setting with old traditions and impeccable service.

Afternoon Tea with Santa

​On December 8th from 12pm to 4pm, join us at the Pendray Tea House for Afternoon Tea with Santa, who traveled all the way from the North Pole!  
Follow Santa’s footprints through the Pendray Tea House gardens and cobblestones pathways as you enjoy the enchanting lights, Christmas trees, and charm of “A Winter Wonderland”. 
Enter the Pendray Tea House, decorated in a traditional Victorian style, and warm yourself with our delicious Winter Afternoon Tea, highlighted with seasonal spices.  A special Children’s Tea with a selection of yummy treats will be offered to kids between 6 and 12 years of age. Santa will be waiting for them by the Christmas tree for a complimentary photo and a surprise Christmas gift.

Winter Afternoon Tea

​A quintessential British tradition, Afternoon tea has been a popular custom in Victoria since its foundation back in the 19th century. Created by our talented Chef for the Holiday season, the Pendray Tea House’s Winter Afternoon Tea is inspired by seasonal flavours and Holiday spices.  Our selection of items are all homemade and locally sourced when feasible.  All of our seafood products are also Ocean Wise certified. ​
Served with traditional Victorian etiquette, this Christmas experience is one not to be missed.

Hours & Menus

The Pendray Tea House is open seven days a week. Afternoon Tea is served Monday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Friday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Reservations are highly recommended. ​

Victoria Women Transition House Christmas Stocking Fundraiser

During this Holiday season, the Huntingdon Manor Hotel and Pendray Inn and Tea House are once again working closely with Victoria Women’s Transition House Society who for the past forty years, has been providing shelter and comfort to those needing of a safe place.  With this in mind, we are organizing our 4th annual Christmas Stockings Donation for the Victoria Women Transition House, looking to bring some hope and joy where it is needed most. Last year, we've collected over 100 stockings from different donors and businesses across the city. 

We’re inviting anyone who‘s interested in participating to donate a Christmas stocking with unwrapped gifts that would be appropriate for children, teenagers or women. By donating a Christmas stocking with gifts or toy, you are giving these families hope, love and comfort during difficult times.  The Hotel will be accepting gifts and toys from November 12th to December 11th, 2019.  A reception will be held at the Pendray Tea House later December to thank all participants.  If you or your business are interested in participating, please contact our Sales & Marketing Department at sales@huntingdonmanor.com or call 250-381-3456.
